Zeus 2 Part Set

Volume 1 of Cook's monumental Zeus traces the genesis, development and growth of the cult of Zeus from Hellenic worship of the 'bright sky' to the anthropomorphised Zeus, the god of the sky. Sumptuously illustrated and rich in primary texts, this is an indispensable resource for students of ancient religion.
