Self-designations and Group Identity in the New Testament

Early Christians used a range of terms to identify themselves, including 'brothers and sisters', 'believers', 'saints' and 'disciples'. Investigating the origin and use of these terms provides an insight into the character and self-understanding of the early Christian movement and sheds light on the theology of New Testament authors.
