Small Area Estimation in Survey Sampling

This monograph reviews the problems and procedures of small area estimation. The first chapter introduces the basic concepts, followed by topics including: some inferential problems of survey sampling; direct, synthetic and composite estimation procedures; and Bayes and empirical Bayes.
