Travels in the East

This work, first published in 1847, is Constantin von Tischendorf's account of his travels in the Middle East at the beginning of the 1840s. The goal of the journey is Jerusalem, but at the monastery of Saint Catherine on Mount Sinai, the biblical scholar makes an extraordinary and controversial discovery.
