Village Life in Hong Kong

Constituting an ethnographic record of a cultural system teetering on the threshold of the historic transition, this book explores the cultural traditions of Cantonese villagers who first settled in South China's Pearl River Delta during the Tang and Song dynasties. It features two villages in particular: San Tin and Ha Tsuen.
